The Foxtel group bid farewell to another member of the executive team, and the executive director of entertainment content and channels announced her departure six years later.
Moore joined the company in 2019 as general manager of Lifestyle Group, leading the lifestyle channel reboot and rebranding.
In 2023, her role expanded to oversee all channel suites owned and operated by Foxtel, including content operations. Earlier this year, after the executive director of commissioning and content Allison Herbert Burns left office, Moore added the production of the original, unscripted show to her transfers.
Before joining Foxtel, she spent 12 years at Pacific Magazines before being owned by Seven West Media and led the growth and development of brands such as Home Beautiful and Better Homes and Gardens as general manager of home and meals.
In a statement, Moore said leaving was a “incredibly difficult decision” and is now a fitting time to start a new business venture in the area she is passionate about.
The past six years have been an incredible experience, both personal and professional,” she said.
“I love my time at Foxtel and have been able to work with many talented people on many incredible productions and projects.
“The company and customers hold a very safe hand and know they are with a passionate team that continues to grow our boundaries. We are part of Foxtel Story and are proud to have the opportunity to continue to contribute as part of selling our Australian homes.”
Moore is expected to continue her position until the end of the year, and Foxtel has already begun domestic and international searches for her replacement.
In a note to staff, Foxtel, Kayo and Binge CEO Hilary Perchard thanked Moore for his gratitude for “leadership, vision, reliability and unwavering dedication.”
“Wendy’s ability to balance creativity and strategic execution is a hallmark of her leadership, and her contributions set new benchmarks for excellence across our business and world-class production,” he said.
“Beyond her accomplishments in content and strategy, Wendy’s commitment to people and her legacy as a leader made her stand out. She built an incredible team, nurtured, identified talent, supported staff development, and created opportunities for growth across the business.”
Perchard was appointed to his role last month as part of a restructuring following the $3.4 billion acquisition of Global Sports Streamer Dazn’s Foxtel Group.
