Marvel has announced the final trailer for Fantastic Four: First Step. It is shaped to become a space vehicle driven by family ties and imminent fate. Look up and read the following.
The first family of the MCU faces a huge threat
Set in a retro fusion world inspired by the 1960s, the film introduces Reed Richards (Pedro Pascal), Suestorm (Vanessa Carby), Johnny Storm (Joseph Quinn), and Ben Grimm (Evonmos Backlach) to four fantastical scientists, explorers and disabled people who embrace the surrogate family.
The trailer leaps towards sci-fi scenes and emotional interests, giving you a glimpse into the dynamics of the team and a glimpse into Galactus, an unimaginable scale. We get more of Julia Garner Silver Surfer, who announces the arrival of a world-welcome unit played by Ralph Inneson. There are also glimpses of young Franklin Richards, Reed and Sue’s sons.
Pascal on fan response, Curtis on Galactus’ scale
Pedro Pascal recently spoke to Vanity Fair about his mixed reaction to his casting. “I recognize more complaints about the cast than I’ve done before. ‘He’s too old. He’s not right. He needs to shave.’ So Pascal says he’s starting to feel positive momentum. or not. “
Meanwhile, producer Grant Curtis addressed the film’s large antagonist in an interview with Corider. “It’s the most epic thing you can imagine,” Curtis said. “It’s the global interest we deal with, the universal interest we deal with. It’s galactus. When Galactus’ gaze comes across your planet, you’re not in a good place. I know it’s not a shock, but I’m one of the original bad guys in the Galactos and the Marvel Universe just to see them really embrace science fiction and their appearance on everything.”
A team worth supporting?
Also starring Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, Natasha Lyonne and Sarah Niles, the film was directed by Wandavision’s Matt Shakman and scored by Michael Giacino. It was a big screen iteration of the past Marvel first family, but this reboot says it’s about to change course. With the final trailer, suggesting that Marvel is finally ready to deliver the story that fans have been waiting for. Hopefully.
We’ll see when the first steps begin with Australian Cinemas on July 24th and US Cinemas on July 25th.
