Global Distribution Giant Banijay rights have appointed Lottie Wilson as Vice President of Australia and New Zealand.
Sydney-based Wilson is responsible for implementing the company’s sales strategy across the region, representing a catalogue of over 205,000 hours. She reports to SVP Anz Lyle Bettson-Barker, focusing on the exploitation of the finished tape.
Wilson is the former acquisition manager for Content BBC Studios, a brand that has been in the role of senior acquisitions since 2015.
“I have been admiring Banijay’s rights for a long time, so joining a well-known team in the industry is a real privilege. I look forward to exploring new opportunities across the ever-expanding catalogue in these two major markets,” she said.
Bettson-Barker said Wilson is sure to become an “incredible additive” for the global sales team.
“With over 15 years of experience in the international television industry, Lottie is one of the rare executives with ample experience across sales, acquisitions and brand services,” he said.
Banijay’s rights are led by another Australian, CEO Caty Payne. Its portfolio includes series such as Survivor, Big Brother, Master Chef, Peaky Blinds, Rogue Heroes, Marie Antoinette, Grant Chester, Mr. Bean, and Black Mirror.
Wilson starts in July.
