Almost ten years have passed since the last one, but a new rugby league match has finally been revealed. This is called Rugby League 26 and will be released on July 17th on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One and PC.
Developed by Melbourne’s Big Ali, it introduces professional team modes, modern graphics, realistic new gameplay mechanics, and fully licensed teams, competitions and stadiums from the entire world of rugby league.
As this announcement was made by the Super League, we have confirmed that the UK cover and that the game will feature 2025 Super League teams and players, as well as WSL players, but we can definitely guarantee that the game will feature a full suite of NRL/NRLW clubs and players.
The first batch of screenshots was also released today, and features a Super League, which can be seen below.
Speaking about the game, the CEO of Big Ali Studios in Melbourne said, “Every part of Rugby League 26 is driven by reliability and depth. From expanded career modes to professional team features and advanced customization tools, the game marks the new standard for rugby leagues for interactive entertainment.”
I’ll continue posting more about Rugby League 26 as I’m over a month away and have also got local updates.
