Konami today revealed that he is reworking the original Silent Hill 1 with the Bloober team responsible for creating the game (the development team behind the recently released Silent Hill 2 Remake).
The original Silent Hill was released for the PlayStation in 1999, but by this day we already knew that Konami and the Bloober team were working on a new game. It was unclear if it was in the Silent Hill franchise, but now it turns out it’s a remake of the original Silent Hill.
The announcement was made on Konami’s Press Start (HA) stream and was also confirmed on Twitter below.
Giving Silence Hill 2 on 9/10, “Silent Hill 2 is a great remake that captures the essence of the original game, and a great remake that expands it in all the right ways without ruining the spirit of the original. It’s great to come for the series.
