Flying Bark Productions appealed to new team members in Sydney and Madrid after enlisting to tackle Sony Animation and Netflix’s new animated Ghostbusters series.
Producing premium CGI and a mix of traditional 2D animation series and feature films, the company has 17 full-time positions available in the Sydney office of CG and 2D animation, synthesis, rigging, pipeline technical orientation, and systems engineering. Three more vacancies are located in the newly opened Madrid location, with job openings for pipeline technical directors in California.
Flying Bark begins work on Netflix and Sony Pictures Animation, Ghost Corps, Inc. Animation for the new Ghostbusters series, which is being produced in collaboration with.
The series, released in 2022, is another expansion of another Ghostbusters Universe, which began with Ivan Leitman’s Ghostbusters in 1984 and revived with Ghostbusters: Afterlife in 2021 and Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire last year.
Filmmakers behind the previous two installments, Jason Lateman and Gil Kennan, are attached as executive producers, but Variety reported last year that Elliot Curran got on the project as a writer and executive producer. Details of the plot of the series are still wrapped.
It’s not the first time Flying Bark has partnered with Netflix to partner with streamers on animating Stranger Things.
The company’s recent works contributed to untitled 2D avatar feature films from Paramount Animation and Nickelodeon Animation, with independent productions of Mayan films, Friendzspace, upcoming Outer Suburbia (ABC) limited animated series story (ABC), 100% Wolf (series and feature films), and last week’s 200% Wolf.
