Overnight, during a big blowout in the marathon, Bungee finally confirmed the release date for the team-based extraction shooter.
The game is scheduled to be released on September 23, 2025. It will be released on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/s, while supporting full cross-play and cross-save on all platforms.
During the gameplay release, Bungee showed off the fast-paced alpha gameplay, showing off the mystical environments of Tauseti IV. Showing the game in-game was a clear focus of the showcase, but like the bungees they were produced for Destiny, they were everywhere and everywhere.
“When I first read about the marathon universe and characters, I found everything strangely poetic and mystical,” said award-winning author and director of Short, Alberto Miergo.
“The concepts of futileness and endurance came to mind right away and I felt that I needed to write about it. Looking at the very bold and lively artwork of the gaming team quickly created a connection.

For those who like the appearance of the game’s products, as easily seen on Shannon’s Tiktok, Bungie has launched a marathon merchandise line at its official store.
The closed alpha, scheduled to kick off on April 23rd, appears to be directed towards North America, with registrations being processed through official inconsistencies in the game.
