Game sharing
The new game sharing option allows you to share your game with others you don’t own to play. Switch 1 game has been updated and some Switch 2 games will be supported.
Donkey Kong Bananza
Say what you do about the redesign of Donkey Kong since the release of the Super Mario Bros movie. However, this new 3D game is called Donkey Kong Bananza and looks like a lot of smash fun.
Mario Kart World
The big launch game with the console is Mario Kart World. This open world cart game appears to combine the open world of the Forza Horizon series with the beloved characters of the Mario franchise.
Hyrule Warriors: age of imprisonment
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Promionment, which will appear at the end of the year, will be set before the BotW event, allowing you to play Zelda and other games in this high-action game.
duskbloods
No, it’s not a Bloodborne 2, but it’s a new IP and is exclusive to Switch 2 systems. It is called duskbloods and came out in 2026.
accessories
The new Niontendo Switch 2 Pro controller is a luxurious black and white blend with paddles on the back and customizable buttons that make this the equivalent of a dual sense edge controller.
Nintendo Switch 2 Camera
The USB-C connected camera can be used in TV mode or in tabletop and can be used to video chat with friends or to use the in-game camera features for games like Mario Party Jamboree.
GameCube game is in progress
Nintendo GameCube brings Nintendo Switch online on Switch 2. Virtual consoles include the F-Zero GX, SoulCalibur II, and Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.
Eldenling and other third-party titles will be appearing on Switch 2
Yes, you read it correctly: Eldenling is coming to the handheld system. There are many other confirmed titles, including Hogwarts Legacy, Street Fighter 6 (which also acquires Amiibo characters), Hitman Games, Split Fiction, and EA Sports titles. All of these are found in the Switch 2 launch window.
Upgraded titles
Selecting a Nintendo Switch title will show you a Switch 2 upgrade, including HD support and enhanced graphics and gameplay.
These are done via upgrade packs if you already own the game on the original Switch, and are offered if you have a new opportunity to purchase the full title on Switch 2. The games featured in this showcase include:
Mario Party Jamborey Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Legend of Zelda: Kingdom Kirby and Tears of the Forgotten Land
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is enhanced on Switch 2
The game uses Switch 2 mouse controls and offers 4K 60 fps HDR and 1080p 120 fps HDR modes. This looks like the ultimate way to play this game.
Drag the x drive
The new game, titled Drag X Drive, is 3V 3 like the NBA 2K with wheelchairs and rather impressive graphics. It can use mouse controls and motion sensors, and will be released in August this year.
Kirby Air Rider
The sequel to Kirby Air Ride was hardly seen here, except for a brief release in Kirby’s gorgeous detailed language. In a crowded kart racing game where both Mario and Sonic approach them, I hope this is a year or two apart to get the attention it deserves.
