Triangle Management founder Ted Miller, head of Sky TV New Zealand NZ Originals Thomas Robbins and fifth season acquisition director Avanite is a former screen attendee who returned to the Gold Coast in May for this year’s Spa Connect Market.
Miller will join many other industry executives during the market roundtable, but representatives will have the opportunity to secure meetings with the Knight and Robbins as part of a face-to-face, stable pitch that was rebuilt this year to promote better matching between projects and buyers.
Spa hopes that Knight and Robbins will be able to participate in the market roundtable, and will need to be confirmed in the future.
The night attended last year’s meeting, said it remained a key focus of the fifth season as Australia expanded its slate of unscripted content.
“The fifth season has partnered with Australian production companies, including story-making stories for the comedy drama series contest, and achieved remarkable success in partnering with Blossom films on Lian Moriarty’s adaptation, including the final anniversary of Foxtel Group’s Binge, and working with nine perfect strangers for Flew,” she said.
“We have grown Australian slates with Jungle Entertainment’s sharp wing crime capers for the past year.
“We look forward to exploring opportunities this year with both new and existing Gold Coast partners.”
Robbins, who oversees the scripted content of Sky Originals NZ and premium programming for Sky’s streaming platform Neon and all Sky channels, said attending the meeting was a highlight of his calendar.
I have always been very welcoming and have thoroughly enjoyed the friendly and positive atmosphere of the Australian screen industry,” he said.
“Our friends who crossed the gap with New Zealand’s originals have found “an exciting project to collaborate.” ”
The SPA Connect Market will be held as part of the screen on the Gold Coast from Tuesday, May 6th to Thursday, May 8th.
