Jonathan Majors talks about his potential to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and shares his openness to improving his role as the Conqueror Can when asked.
The actor portrayed the time hopping villain of Ant-Man and the wasp: Quantumania and Variants Victor Timely/he who reming/the the time Keepers in Disney+ Series Loki told USA Today that he had no malicious intentions towards Marvel Studios and Disney following his firing from the franchise.
“Yeah, of course I say yes. Disney, Marvel Studios, I love them,” Majors said. “Tom Hiddleston loved working with that guy. He loved working with Paul Rudd. He loved working with Gugu Mbasa Law. I love the industry so much. Now I’m in a place where I can feel the love they have and actually express my love for them.”
MCU Major’s tenure in office has been shortened in December 2023 after the actor was convicted of two misdemeanor counting reckless assault and harassment. The studio then remodeled its plans, shifting focus from Kang to Doctor Doom, and shifting to Doctor Doom, a supervillain who plays other than Robert Downey Jr. After playing Tony Stark/Iron Man, he returned to the franchise. The Avengers: Kang Dynasty was renamed Avengers: Doomsday.
In another interview with Entertainment Weekly, Majors was asked again whether he would return to Marvel or consider his role as Damian “Diamond” Anderson in the Creed franchise. He played a character of sorts an antagonist in director Michael B. Jordan’s Creed III.
“Yes. Yes, both,” Major replied. “But my version of going back to those places will be different. I don’t think anything different happens between ‘action’ and ‘cut’. That’s why I did my job.
Major is preparing for his next film, “The Magazine Dream Release.” The bodybuilding drama was first drawn from the release of Searchlight Pictures following major legal troubles, but was later featured on March 21st by Briarcliff Entertainment for a US release.
As Major awaits his return to the big screen, there are still questions about the possibility that his off-screen controversy, including newly released audio recordings related to his beliefs, could affect his career in the future. But for now, the actor has made it clear: if Marvel calls, he is ready to answer.
