LEGO today signed a multi-year partnership with Pokemon Company and announced that it will begin releasing the LEGO Pokemon set as of 2026.
This is something people have been waiting for years, but the Pokemon company seemed tied up by a masterblock. The announcement was made along with a teaser video showing the tail of Lego Pikachu, which feels like the most appropriate way the announcement will be made.
“We’ve seen a lot of effort into our products,” said Julia Goldin, Chief Product and Marketing Director for LEGO Group. “I am excited to work with a brand with a deep, passionate fanbase like Pokemon.
Gaku Susai, Chief Products and Experience Director, Pokémon Company International, added: “The LEGO Group and Pokemon share a powerful value of imagination, creativity and fun, which provides a unique, meaningful and engaging way for trainers to experience the Pokémon brand. Fans won’t be able to see both the LEGO fans and the Pokemon community’s response in 2026.”
