On the horizon in Andor’s second and final seasons, Disney+ dropped the “special look” video. A new poster has also been announced. Watch the special look video above and see the poster below.
The video blends cast and crew insights with dramatic snippets with behind-the-scenes footage from upcoming episodes, teasing the rising tensions, betrayals, and all-out war that shape Cassian’s journey to Rogue One. “The revolutionary movements are happening spontaneously throughout the galaxy,” says Tony Gilroy, creator/author/executive producer of Andor. “How they come together is in our story.”
“If Season 1 builds a track, Season 2 is a juggernaut,” says Genevieve O’Reilly, returning as Mon Mothma. The rebellion is no longer just an idea, it is becoming an army, and Kassian is in its thick state. “This is the end,” says Star Diego Luna, and for at least for now, his lead role looks like the last one. “I’m not expecting it.”
This last season unfolds in 12 episodes structured into four three-episode arcs. Each chapter brings the story closer to Rogue One’s events, bridging the gap between Cassian’s transformation from survivors to soldiers. Or, reminding Stellan Skarsgard’s Ruten Rael to think like a leader.
The cast members return include Denise Gough, Kyle Soller, Adria Arjona, Faye Marsay and Forest Whitaker. This season we’ll be watching Ben Mendelshorn return as Orson Krennic and Alan Tadik return as droid K-2SO.
The season’s manager lineup includes Ariel Kraiman (partisan, top of the lake) at the helm of the EPS. 1-6, Janus Metz (Armadillo, all the old knives) in EPS. 7-9, and EPS for Alonso Ruizpalacios (Cops Film, Narcos: Mexico). 10-12, writing duties are divided between Tony Gilroy, Beau Willimon, Dan Gilroy and Tom Bissell.
Andor’s end begins on April 23rd with new episodes arriving every week.
