Prime Video unleashed Red Band Trailer from the upcoming supernatural action series The Bondsman, offering viewers a taste and a taste of blasphemous thrill in the shop. The 30-minute series starring Kevin Bacon aims to blend fear, action and dark comedy in order for the revived bounty hunt to do the devil’s dirty work. Let’s take a look at his mission from below.
Second chance in the afterlife
Bacon leads the show and leads as Hub Halloran. Hab Halloran is a former bounty hunter who meets a violent end but has an unexpected second shot, with some big warnings. The devil himself tasses him by bringing Hub back from death and retrieving the demon that escaped from the prison in hell. While fighting these otherworldly fugitives, Hub also faces another challenge. His estranged family is as much a hindrance as allies of his mission.
The trailer presents the show’s insulting tone as Bacon’s character puts sharp one-liners on the plate during the high-octane devil hunt. There is no shortage of bloodshed either. Chainsaws, gunfights, and flashes of supernatural genocide reveal that Bondman accepts elements of fear without restraint.
Blumhouse-backed horror rides
Bondman is an original concept from creator Grainger David and is led by showrunner Eric Oleson (Carnival Lowe). The show’s executive producer team produced by Blumhouse Television includes Oleson, David, Jason Blum, Chris McCumber, Jeremy Gold, Chris Dickie, Paul Shapiro and Bacon himself.
The cast members will be joining Bacon with Jennifer Nettles (Gem of Righteousness), Australian actor Damon Herriman (Justification), Beth Grant (Donnie Darco), Maxwell Jenkins (Lost of the Universe), and Jolene Purdy (White Lotus).
Release date and streaming details
Bondman is scheduled to premiere on Prime Video on April 3rd. And good news for bold people – all eight episodes are dropped at once. Bondman, whose fingers crossed, is a hell of riding.
