Well, this was unexpected. Hideo Kojima and 505 Games have announced that Death Stranding: Director’s Cut is available today on Xbox Series X|S and Windows. This is in celebration of the game’s 5th anniversary.
If that’s not enough, it’s also been revealed that for a limited time it’s 50% off on Xbox and PC. It’s already available on the Xbox Store for $27.47 and available here.
The Death Stranding: Director’s Cut included all the content released for the game, including Valve Corporation’s HALF-LIFE series and CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 content.

From the initial hype to the unleashed madness of its story, it’s an experience that will be remembered for a long time. This is an art installation in a game that filled me with as much anger as joy. It’s a great piece of work in both brilliance and purpose, but the game has no right to be remembered as much as it does, although the game’s comfortable, bare-bones aspects of delivery have some blemishes. ”
