Australian streamer Stan has released the official trailer for The Borderline, a cross-border crime thriller starring Stephen Amell (ARROW), titled The Murder Line in the UK. Watch the trailer above and read on to find out what to expect from this tense new series.
Cops, criminals, and a plan that backfires
Set in the Thousand Islands region along the U.S.-Canada border, Borderline follows police officer Henry Roland (Amell) who discovers evidence linking his childhood friend Tommy Hawley (Hamza Haq) to a serious crime. What begins as an attempt to protect someone she’s known her whole life quickly turns into something much more troublesome.
According to ITV’s description, the series “follows a misguided police officer who goes above and beyond the call of duty to save a childhood friend, only to have everything unravel.”
“When his plan backfires, his carefully constructed life begins to unravel, setting him on a dangerous collision course with scheming criminals, suspicious colleagues, and vulnerable civilians who need him now more than ever.”
Haku plays Tommy, Henry’s childhood friend and a secret figure at the heart of the story, while Minnie Driver co-stars as Mae Ferguson, described as the matriarch of a “ruthless British crime family” involved in the local drug trade.
Tamara Podemski also stars as border intelligence officer Erika Ross, supported by Kate Corbett, Thomas Craig, and Christopher Heyerdahl.
