The teaser trailer of Dhurandhar: The Revenge is here and the title of the sequel is officially confirmed after Dhurandhar’s blockbuster success. Watch the teaser above, then read what’s revealed about the sequel. You can also scroll down to check out the early posters. I want you to know that this is certainly going to get blood flowing.
Ranveer Singh is back and Hamza seems to be calling the shots.
Ranveer Singh is back and the teaser shows his path to revenge agent Hamza. It’s not a plot dump, but a lean, forward-thinking glimpse. Wearing a trench coat, letting his hair down, it’s a version of this world where Hamza doesn’t feel things, that is, he sets the rules.
It will be interesting to see how this sequel develops. With ‘Dhulandhar’ now officially India’s highest-grossing Hindi film of all time, there is certainly pressure to make even bigger films here.
The familiar final line appears again, but not everyone likes the sense of déjà vu.
The teaser ends with a sharp callback: “Yeh naya Hindustan hai. Yeh ghar mein gusega bhi aur maarega bhi” (“This is the new India – it will enter your homes and destroy you”). This is the same line used at the end of the first film, and it’s clearly planted here as a blunt reminder of the tone this sequel wants to advance.
But its familiarity and other moments in the teaser have also sparked backlash online, with some fans unhappy that it appears to be reusing footage from the end of Durandal.
