On average, about 12 new games are released on Steam per day. I think that’s a good thing, but of course it’s difficult to keep it going. Unless we sort out all the games released on Steam, potentially exciting gems are sure to get lost in the flood of new play. That’s exactly what we did. If nothing piqued your interest this week, we’ve compiled an updated list of the best PC games to play right now, as well as 2024 games coming out this year.

Great God Grove – Official Launch Trailer – YouTube Watch On
Steam Page
Release date: November 16th
Developer: Limbo Lane
Great God Grove is a stylish top-down adventure game that collects dialogue. As the name suggests, it is set in the Forest of the Gods, where the purpose is to deliberate on whether or not to delay the apocalypse. However, things are not going according to plan. I don’t have much hope for a non-apocalyptic outcome because the God of Communication isn’t working very well. So, it’s your job to talk to more than 60 characters, collect what they say, and pass it on to the appropriate or most relevant character. It’s a really fun way to approach a puzzling problem, and the art style is great.
420BLAZEIT 2: Game of the Year -=Wet Dreams and Goaty Memes=- (#wow/11 likes and subscribers) Poggerz Edition
Gameplay Reveal Trailer Game of the Year 420 Blaze It 2 - YouTube Watch On
SteamPage
Release date: November 15th
Developer: Normal healthy game
The 420BLAZEIT 2 trailer wants to make it clear that this is not just a meme game, but a great FPS. Jodie agreed when she played the game at PAX last month, but whether or not it’s a great FPS, you still need to understand the internet-poisoned aesthetic (even if the option Even if there was a meme slider in the menu). Across 13 levels, you’ll take on helicopters, scopeless idiots, take on meme-stealing Illuminati, and if you’re lucky, clear the arena with a fart-shooting rifle. The result is a game that looks like a horrifying Quake map made by a reclusive hikikomori cousin to entertain his Something Awful friends. In other words, it’s art.

ABI-DOS Announcement Trailer – YouTube Watch On
steam page
Release date: November 16th
Developer: ABI.DOS.SOFTWARE
I love the idea of complex OS simulators that pop up on Steam from time to time, but I never play them. ABI-DOS is the latest and requires you to build “circuits that operate and guide UBITS (colored digital blocks) toward specific goals based on specified documentation.” Since the problem is completely open-ended, it is possible to come up with several solutions if you understand the technology at your disposal. Even better, there’s a story here, as the mysterious beings performing these tasks are gradually learned over the course of 50 puzzles. If you’re a fan of Zachtronics games, this seems like a must-have.
Divine Dynamo Flam Frit
Divine Dynamo Flamefrit – Debut Trailer – YouTube Watch On
steam page
Release date: November 15th
Developer: Inti Creates Co., Ltd.
Prolific pixel art purveyors Inti Creates (Blaster Master Zero, Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon) bring Divine Dynamo Flamefrit to their Zelda-inspired creations. Even though I loved Inti’s other works, I never thought this one would come out. Adopting a heavy anime style, DDF follows in the footsteps of Blaster Master Zero in the sense that the game has two traverse modes. As Yuto, things unfold from a 2D top-down affair, and the other you play as the robot Flamflit. In first person. Other than that, it doesn’t seem like they’re doing anything particularly new, but you can trust this studio to create a great 16-bit style action game.
Finnish cottage simulator
Cottage Simulator – Early Gameplay #2 – YouTube Watch On
SteamPage
Release date: November 16th
Developer: Ranela Games
Want to try out Finnish Cottage Simulator? In this first-person sim, you’ll spend time in a cottage by the lake. You can go fishing, drink beer, have a barbecue, or do quests for your neighbors. There are also boats and mopeds that you can drive. If all this seems hopeless, you may need to take a hard look at yourself. Since it entered early access last week, 207 Steam users have left “very positive” reviews. There is a sauna.
