This week saw the premiere of two fascinating true crime documentary series.
One investigates family allegations about the identity of the infamous Zodiac Killer. The other is about Max, and the rise and fall of the millennial yoga guru.
There are also a lot of horror movies that are new to the streamer. These include the killer pumpkin comedy “Carved” and the Josh Hartnett concert thriller “Trap.”
On the scripted television side, several new and returning shows have released episodes. “Territory” and “Beauty in Black” premiered on Netflix, while “Somebody Somewhere” and “What We Do in the Shadows” each premiered their final seasons.

Set in 1993, the film follows a group of people trapped in a historical reenactment village on Halloween night. They must face off against an evil sentient pumpkin. Yes, really.

This year’s much talked about M. Night Shyamalan thriller stars Josh Hartnett as a father whose trip to a concert with his teenage daughter takes a dark turn. It also features an incredibly memorable (and widely met) supporting performance by Kid Cudi.

“What We Do in the Shadows” returns this week.

This is the final outing for everyone’s favorite group of vampires living on Staten Island. The season 6 premiere picks up after the season 5 finale’s plot reset, with Guillermo briefly transforming into a full vampire before returning to human form.
